Global cases of COVID-19 have bought chaos in over 100 countries and reached 105,586, far more than those sickened by SARS, MERS or Ebola in a recent year. As described earlier by the U.N. Health Agency, a pandemic is a situation in which “sustained community-level outbreaks” of a new virus occurs on a continental scale.

The virus has reached almost every continent. Though It has been first reported in China yet, the virus has spread in almost every part of the world. The number of cases with the disease suddenly rose in Japan, the U.S., Italy, India, Iran and South Korea. Earlier, the Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy, University of Minnesota said that ‘it is pretty clear that we’re in a pandemic’.

WHO declared a pandemic in the year 2009, during the H1N1 outbreak for which they were criticized. As the cases of global infection hit the bottleneck, finally WHO declares COVID-19, a pandemic.
