The government of China has introduced a new policy to control how the information on the origin of SARS-COV-2 makes its way out for publication, may it be a blog or a peer-reviewed Journal. It is strange that the government has introduced the policy and tacitly removed it from the websites of Fudan University and the China University of Geosciences (Wuhan). According to which, research findings on COVID-19 require approval before being published. Such policies will probably impede the free-will of a researcher to disseminate information and data that may help scientists in controlling the outbreak. Also, it is an intrusion in the scientific review process and an indicative of China’s control system to block information on the origin of the virus.
Meanwhile, the US drew back its wallet from funding to the World Health Organization (WHO). President Donald Trump has accused the International body of “mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus,” and being bias towards China. The president stated in a news conference at the White House that "I am directing my administration to halt funding while a review is conducted to assess the World Health Organization's role in severely mismanaging and covering up the spread of the coronavirus." So far, The US has been the largest contributor to the WHO’s fund.
