How the course of time is changing everything around us can be estimated with the report published by the conservation group WWF recently.

The findings in the report send us a groundbreaking awakening call to open our eyes. According to the report, over two-thirds of the wildlife population sunk in less than 50 years, the rate at which humans proceeded destroying nature has never been seen before.

With the increase in burning down forests, over-fishing, and over-hunting, we are risking our survival on Earth. The study took thousands of several wildlife species in consideration, surveyed by conservation scientists across the globe and documented a fall in wildlife populations by 68% among mammals, birds, amphibians, reptiles and fish. It is a clear indication of how humans are desecrating nature’s law and raising a catastrophe. The numbers provide us with a clear affirmation that biodiversity is dropping at a rate remarkable in human history. According to the data compiled by the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN), over 32,000 species lined up to extinction. The report also points out Food production as a critical driver of nature loss.

“We are wrecking our world — the one place we call home — risking our health, security and survival here on Earth,” says the chief executive of WWF. It is time for us to renovate the way we produce and consume food.
